Missouri Valley Community Action Agency Partners with Henkel to Put on Benefit Event

Richmond, MO September 19, 2007 – Henkel strongly supported Missouri Valley Community Action Agency’s recent special event: a benefit BBQ and Bluegrass Festival hosted by the Richmond Community Amphitheater. Bill Downs, Human Resources Manager for Henkel, presented Missouri Valley Community Action Agency (MVCAA) with a $500 donation.

Henkel’s HR Manager said the company has a solid history of giving back to the community. “We’re proud to help Missouri Valley Community Action Agency,” said Bill Downs. “Both our organizations care about making Richmond a stronger community, so it was a pleasure partnering with them for this event.”

The day-long BBQ and Bluegrass Festival was held on August 25th, and drew an estimated crowd of 250. “The benefit was a huge success,” said Ann Graff, MVCAA’s Executive Director. “We are very grateful for the generosity of the Richmond community, who came out strong to support our event. Our goal is to end poverty, and to do that we need the help of the community. We’re extremely pleased with how strongly Henkel stepped up to do that.”

With more than 75 years of experience, Henkel is the market leader in adhesives, sealants, and surface treatments to the automotive industry. A company located in Richmond for over two decades, Henkel helps automotive manufacturers meet their needs to protect cars and trucks against corrosion, water, fumes, and noise.
