Enhancing the Community through Volunteer Development and Coordination
One way for people to learn new skills or give back to the community is through volunteering. In many cases, volunteer jobs lead to paid positions. To this end, MVCAA has a dedicated staff person to recruit, train, develop and coordinate volunteers.
Volunteer fairs will be held in each county to promote volunteer opportunities and assist in matching volunteers to opportunities. A volunteer data base will be used to register volunteers, list volunteer opportunities and coordinate matches (match a volunteer with volunteer opportunities).
